Apparently not.
I am growing increasingly tired of bloggers who I read (and normally respect) going on at great lengths about their fear and anger because of the election. (Total meltdowns are many.) Anyone who didn't join the Hillary Clinton Is Wonderful Fan Club was and is, in most of their collective opinions, either redneck fools or wild-eyed bigots. How in the world could this have happened?!?
Quick, somebody empty the Basket of Deplorables. It's full and overflowing!
Guess what, fellow bloggers? I don't care for Mr. Trump's insulting words or sharp business practices, either -- but I also don't care for Mrs. Clinton's dishonesty. (Particularly her willingness to obfuscate, as well as sudden character changes when she's out of the public eye --
Remember this? )
Not to mention her strong ties to The Machine over the years -- Wall Street and financial businesses, politicians and interest groups, as well as countries we had no business being connected to. (Countries with practices toward gays, women and -- gasp -- Christians -- that Mrs. Clinton would normally announce she's horrified by.)
Do you honestly think that it was a coincidence, after millions of dollars were donated to the Clinton Foundation, that these countries and interests suddenly found a receptive ear in Washington?
Mrs. Clinton talks a good talk. But does she really DO what she SAYS?
For instance, she made sure to quote Galatians 6:9 as the ending both of her concession speech AND her final Facebook post. And it sounds good:
9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
What she neglected to include were the verses preceding this verse -- verses that explain that this involves total honesty, as well as commitment to faith in God and His Son, as well as His people, "the family of believers."
Not just "doing good stuff," as she suggested.
3 If anyone thinks they are something when they are not, they deceive themselves. 4 Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else, 5 for each one should carry their own load. 6 Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor.
7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
Here's Donald Trump's chance to prove to us that he can be a positive factor in America's development over the next four years.
And Mrs. Clinton's chance to prove, by her actions, whether she deserves another chance.
Frankly, she could have started by actually showing up at campaign headquarters at 1:41 a.m., rather than sending a flunky to do her job for her. If Donald Trump gave a victory speech at 1:45 a.m., she really DID concede before her campaign manager denied it to the crowd. Check the times, if you don't believe me.
She could have also been considerably more gracious than she was in her concession speech, given to a much smaller near hand-picked audience the next morning. She should have shown Trump up in this respect. She didn't. (Again, watch the speeches -- they're both on this link.)
And like it or not, fellow bloggers, the world WILL go on, whether we protest, have temper tantrums, sob, gripe, moan, point fingers...
then eventually accept it, and start working at what we should REALLY be concentrating on, instead of wailing and insults.
The sun will rise again.

I did vote for Trump, but I was a supporter from Day one. I worked in the Construction Industry and Fishing Industry and have been a HR Manager and many other jobs. In all of them I found men to be rude and sexest. I don't think there is a man alive other than possibly a minister or priest that has not participated in Locker Room Banter. My own X husband was a pig. Actions speak louder than words, I researched all candidates big time and found DJT's actions to be Awesome and very commendable. I would trust him farther than Hillary, Bernie or any others.
Now we need to move on and QUILT. Politics will be handled as each of us makes sure we do Honorable, and Good actions in our lives.
