What Was I Thinking?!?

We did something stupid Tuesday night, and...

watched the vice presidential debate.

Actually, I just listened to it. The Brick watched it. To the bitter end. After an amazing amount of interruptions, quick insults and hustled-through 'facts,' I was tired of it all.

Sadly, Mr. Kaine, who talks about his faith as a former missionary, was all too quick to dismiss some of his religious tenets as 'not applicable in this case.' Like pro-life.

Sigh.

Unfortunately, he was also rude. Interrupted a LOT. (At least 64 times, by one commentator's count.) Or made snide comments under his breath. Klassy -- with a capital K.

Yep, that certainly honored The Great Judge.

Who should be far more important to Mr. Kaine than his boss, Mrs. Clinton.

Mr. Pence was far more dignified -- and tried desperately to defend his boss, Mr. Trump. Classy.

Nonetheless, there wasn't any new information or revelations -- just the same old accusations from both sides. I was surprised by the VPs' response to one question: whether the world was much more safe from terrorism today.
      Pence said no.
      Kaine said YES. Emphatically.   (What?!?)

If you're curious, here are 5 things you should have looked for during the debate, along with the very funny opening line:

An exhausted nation turns its lonely eyes to Tim Kaine and Mike Pence, two suburban dads who are about to stop playing nice.

Darn tootin'. Can the election get here -- quick -- before the next debate? Please?
